Local hair heroes Bishop’s Barbershop presented their first West Coast Rock Show last night at Dante’s. The lineup featured Canadian glam rockers Chinatown and local favorites Lovely. Regrettably, Japan’s The Jailbirds seemed to have lost their way to the venue. Notable attendees included Bishop’s owner Leo Rivera and his haircutting crew, members of The Makers, and Nina Hagen band.

CNN will be airing the clip on last December's PDX Fashion Incubator / Bishop's Barbershop hair and fashion show next Wednesday at 7 pm.

The newly relocated Seaplane converted their retail
space into a runway Wednesday evening for the first of
their monthly fashion shows. This event featured
local designer Emily Ryan's collection of dresses.
Viewers quickly filled the rows of chairs lining the
makeshift runway inside the store and overflowed onto
the street where eager fashionistas snuck peaks of the
collection through the front window. The last
Wednesday of each month Seaplane will feature a new
designer with a fashion show and reception at 827 NW
23rd.
