Lots of interesting stuff coming out of the Los Angeles Film Festival panels. One item, that I think qualifies as big news, is the headline above....cinetic launching a global vod system.

No other details yet (not even sure who said it...I assume it's from a panel run by @ScottKirsner).
But this is the kind of applecart-turning that will have to happen for any project to survive that isn't a major studio tentpole.
This is bigger news than John Lesher getting the boot, but I wonder how much mainstream media (even the trades) will make of it.
