Seems like youtube has been down for about 6 hours now. Does that throw a wrench in anybody else's morning? Maybe they are adding experiencing overloads like a lot of the retail sites.

With the exception of Apple's February announcement of the 1GB iPod nano and price cuts to the iPod shuffle, the iPod line has gone untouched in 2006, which may explain the recent buzz surrounding future iPods.

Coupled with the Apple Disney CBS moves...we are now officially over the hump of "when will there ever be video programming on the Internet".

PaidContent announces that Viacom will be announcing a purchase of ifilm any day now. I believe that iflim has recently been profitable. The sale price is rumored to be around 50 million. I wonder how much money has been sunk into ifilm over the years to arrive at a 50 million dollar sale.

Probably won't be the last piece of news to come out of the Digital Hollwood conference this week.

Veoh Networks launched their Beta yesterday...but going to their site today to download the client, I'm met with "Thanks for your interest in Veoh! We are currently performing some server maintenance. Please check back in the morning to download Veoh."

On second thought, not so ready to launch their Beta I guess.

With Digital Hollywood starting yesterday, I imagine their might be some talk of this little stumble.
